This video shows how wonderfully horses can tell you are if they ready to be ridden. When they come to the mounting block at liberty and present the saddle to you, you know they are there because they are happy to be ridden.
Watch how Classic brings his hind end in to present the saddle to me….pommel in left hand and cantle in the right.
See how he stands still to let me ask if he is ok with me riding (I weight the stirrup).
He always gets a treat for standing nicely as I get on.
